CARRELL WILLIAM HANNA JR., 68, of Russellville, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022, at Baptist Health in Little Rock.

He was born October 26, 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, son of the late Carrell William Hanna, Sr. and Irene Coffman Hanna. He was a member of Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church and the Hector Lodge #497.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Carrell Hanna III. He was a Veteran of the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Blaylock Hanna; daughters, Bertha Hillis, Shirley Roberts, and Carlotta Hanna; sons, Harvey and Amanda Roberts, and Stephen and Randi Hanna; brother, Joey and Sheila Hanna; sister, Brenda and Mike Henderson, and Janis and David Reno; grandchildren, Aaron and Che Hillis, Brittney Hillis (Jordan), Ronney and Ashley Hillis, Kennedy Roberts, Brayden Roberts, Eli Roberts, Stephanie Hanna, Emily Hanna, Jimmy and Leah Stewart, Larry and Amanda Stewart, Kyler Roberson, and Victoria Roberson; 18 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 14, at Walnut Grove Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Hanna and Rev. Jimmy Stewart officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, at Lemley Chapel.

Pallbearers are Aaron Hillis, Ronney Hillis, Jordan Thompson, Larry Stewart, Donnie Hanna, and Michael Henderson. Honorary pallbearers are Peyton Hillis, Artie Hillis, Brayden Roberts, Eli Roberts, Ronney Hillis, Lucca Hillis, Travis Alderson and David Reno, Jr.

MILDRED ADELL (COFFMAN) BONDS, age 86, of Russellville and formerly of Cabot, died Friday, April 22, 2022, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She has gone to see her Heavenly Father and to fellowship with family and friends.  She was born May 5, 1935, in Hector, to Doyle Coffman and Ida (Martin) Coffman.  Mildred married J.T. Bonds on December 4, 1950.

In addition to her father, mother and husband, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Glen Dell Coffman, Lee Coffman and Patsy Jones; a grandson, Patrick Bonds; and nieces and nephews.

She is survived by two sisters, Lula Faye Byers and Linda Cochran; a son and daughter-in-law, James H. Bonds and Marilyn of Granbury, Texas and a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Al Trbovich of Charlottesville, Virginia.

She was a nurse at Rebsamen Memorial Hospital and retired as a private nurse.  She was a Christian in the Free Will Baptist faith.

Graveside service is at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. 

Visitation is 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

CARL LOY KELLEY, age 83, passed away November 18, 2021 in San Bernardino, California. 

He was born July 14, 1939 in Earle, Arkansas to Doyle L. Kelley and Okie Lavada Coffman.  He was a longtime resident of California where he enjoyed life on his ranch and spending time with family.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and a bonus son, Kyle. 

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Joann Boone; daughters Jackie, Karla, Donna and their husbands; the grandkids Jillian, Jennifer, Robert, Gordy, TT, Nick, Kyle. Kelsey, Taylor, Kristian, Ella, & Gavin; brother Kenneth Ray Kelley and nephews Ryan & Michael Kelley.

A family gathering was held in his home (Kelley Ranch) with sharing and reflecting on the many wonderful memories of Carl’s kindness and love  that have touched lives and hearts of his family forever.  

A memorial for Carl can be found in a ‘special place’ on the Kelley Ranch and also beside his parents in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas. 

 

 

 

 

BEATRICE COLLEEN (DIXON) SUVA age 91, of Long Beach, California and formerly of Hector, Arkansas, died February 5, 2015 at Kindred Hospital, LaMiranda, California.  

She was born April 27, 1923 in Hector, Arkansas to Hurcel Hugh Dixon and Ima Ethleen Marable Dixon. In 1944, she moved to California with her family where she  married a Baptist minister, Rev. Clifford Murphy Suva. 

Beatrice Colleen was a student of ECKANKAR for forty years; and she was a general office clerk for twenty years.  

Survivors include a son, Clifford Suva II, of Anaheim, California; a daughter, Rachelle Colleen Suva Russo, of Chanhassen, MN; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 

A celebration of the life of Beatrice Colleen Dixon Suva was held at Los Angeles ECK Center on February 21, 2015.  An ECK Memorial Service was officiated by ECKANKAR Cleric:  Linda Lavaneri.

She arranged for her own cremation with Smart Cremations of Los Angeles, California and her cremains will be placed beside her parents, in the same plot as her brother, Edward Eugene Dixon, in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas.

 

 

 

CLAYTON RAY BEAVERS, age 78, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at his home in Miller, MO.

He was born in Mangum, OK on Friday, October 29, 1943; son of Lonzo Clayton and Bernice (Bush) Beavers. Mr. Beavers attended high school in Hector, AR. He joined the Army where he operated a bulldozer during the Vietnam War. Mr. Beavers was a cowboy operating a ranch for many years. 

Surviving are the following: his soulmate, Lawanna Beavers of the home; two sons, Clayton Beavers of Dardanelle, AR and Chris Beavers of Hector, AR; one daughter, Lanell Thompson of Russellville, AR; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. He will be missed by many other family members and friends. 

Mr. Beavers has been cremated at his request and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO.

 

 

 

JESSIE CONDLEY JR, 85, of Hector, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022.

He was born September 5, 1936, in Hector, son of the late Jessie Condley, Sr. and Dollie Ann Martin.  He was a veteran serving in the US Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Lucille Church Condley and Maxine Condley; 2 sons, Tim Condley and Brian Condley; and a daughter, Melinda June Condley Calvert Clark.

He is survived by 2 sons, Ronald Todd Condley and Steve Condley; and a host of family, friends, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 9, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. James Chronister officiating. Private burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Pallbearers are Todd Condley, Gary Calvert, Luke Roe, Chuck Stroud, Jeremy Mount, and Chase Mount.

 

 

 

JAMES LLOYD DAVIS, 81, of Branson West, MO, formerly of Russellville, “Flew West” Saturday, October 8, 2022, from his home.

The son of Glen and Bertha Robison Davis, he was born March 4, 1941, in Mena. James’ accomplishments include the founding of Ozark Log Cabins, flying solo to all lower 48 states in an airplane that he had built, authoring an autobiography of his air adventures.   He was a member of the YES Church in Branson West and enjoyed flying, traveling, fishing, hunting, mission work and building churches in St. Lucia.   He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Tami Davis, Rogers; Shelly Launius (Gene), Monticello; two sons, Randy Davis (Maressa), Lima, OH; J.J. Davis (Ashley), Grand Prairie, TX; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Noma Herrin and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Hector First Assembly of God.  Rev. Randy Davis and Brad Launius will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector by Humphrey Funeral Service.  Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, on Tuesday, at the church.  Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital, Donate.lovetotherescue.org.

 

 

 

REGINA GALE (FOLDOE) DACUS, age 66 of Dardanelle, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

She was born April 28, 1956 in Pomona, California to the late Edward Foldoe and Wilma Geraldine Heathcock. She was a member of the Dardanelle Assembly of God Church and she was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold Ray Dacus; sister, Lorie Cabezut and brother, Jerry Benefield

Survivors include one daughter, Lisa Dacus (Stephen Holt) of Russellville; two brothers, Louis Foldoe of Washington, Gary Benefield of Idaho; grandchildren, Lillian Gail and Mary Elizabeth Holt, Chasity Starr Holt and several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00P.M., Monday at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector. Visitation will be held Monday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M. at the Cemetery prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Les Holt, Daniel Merritt, Joshua Foster, Randy Moore, Cherokee Taylor and Barry Watson.

Samuel MacArthur Cook, 78, of Hector, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at his home.

He was born May 30, 1944, in Hector, son of the late Joe Dan and Arvena Crouch Cook. He was a member of Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church, and was an avid hunter and gun and knife collector who loved to go to deer camp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Wanda Gray; and 2 brothers, Kenneth Cook and Joseph Donald Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Cook; sons, Wayne (Homero) Cook, Randy (Carolyn) Cook; grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie) Cook, Samuel (Lori) Cook, Emily Cook; great-grandchildren, Payton, Parker, and Collin; brother-in-law, Mike Martin and family, Larry (Sofia) Martin, Bob (Patty) Martin; and sister-in-law, Teresa Snow.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 5, at Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. James Chronister and Rev. Donnie Hanna officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM, Friday, at Lemley Chapel.

ROBIN L. COFFMAN, 60 of Dardanelle, passed away November 29, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was born May 30, 1962, in Waco, TX to Robert L. and Donna L. Hensley Trussell.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a member of the Agape Fellowship Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bun Anderson Coffman; son, Todd Coffman; daughter, Casie Coffman (Shelly Warren); stepdaughter, Gina Martinez (Brian Tipton); brother, Steven Trussell; sisters, Donna and Brad Stiles, Sandra Turner, Kim and Kirby Alexander; grandchildren, Rhiannon Bodine (Eric), Myky Coffman, Kylyn Coffman, Kaylee Coffman, Lauren Coffman; Step-grandchildren, Ringo Tipton, Michael Logsdon, Bradley Logsdon, Mercedes Logsdon; great-grandchildren, Keaton Tao Coffman Kelly, and Rainey Walker Johnson.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Tony Sparks officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour before service. Burial will be held at a later date at Walnut Grove Cemetery of Hector.

JoAnn Walker, age 74, of Dover, died Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Johnson County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

She was born February 1, 1948, in East Chicago, Indiana to James and Connie Gregg.

She worked at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for 41 years before she retired.  She loved spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna Myers Darby.

Survivors include her husband, Denver Walker Sr.; her two children and their spouses, Tracy and Fred Standridge of Dover and Denver Jr. and Darrah Walker of Augsburg; four grandchildren, Kelsey Jo and Justin Bennett of Dover, Kendel Standridge of Dover, Dawson and Draden Walker of Augsburg; three great-grandchildren, Harlee Jo, Rhett and Ridge Bennett, all of Dover; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at Dover First Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Paxton officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Myers, Justin Bennett, Donnie Haley, Brent Boland, Steven Walker and Tony Haley.

Tammy Lynette (Goodyear) Crow, 54 of Dover, received her angel wings,  Friday, March 3, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born July 27, 1968 in Antioch, California to Frederick Clay Goodyear and Patricia Karen Voss. She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Everette and Joyce Davis; great grandparents, Roxy Churchill and James Zachariah Marable niece, Heather Alana Goodyear. 

Tammy was a huge animal lover.  She was an avid horseback rider.  Her whole world evolved around her son, Kenneth.  

She is survived by son, Kenneth Crow and wife, Kailyn of Russellville; her granddogs; mother, Karen Voss of Dover; two brothers, Stoney Goodyear and wife Cindy of Scottsville, Scotty Goodyear and wife Trish of Russellville; finance, Richard Nearhood of Dover; as well as several nieces, nephews and other family and friends. 

Her visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday, March 6, 2023 at Russellville Family Funeral .  Her funeral service will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Russellville Family Funeral, with burial following in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Crow, Gerald Voss, Kenneth Voss, Sean Hudson, Richard Nearhood.

 

 

 

 

Cecil William Freeman, 76, of Pelsor, AR died March 21st, 2023. He was born July 28th, 1946 to Willie Freeman and Ollie Fae (Chisum) Freeman. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sue (Coffman) Freeman. A private burial was held at Walnut Grove Cemetery on March 22nd, 2023.  Lemley Funeral home provided services.
