WALTER EDMOND COOPER

COOPER, Walter Edmond “Eddie” passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home of Little Rock.  He was born April 22, 1945 in Russellville, Arkansas to James Henry Cooper and Carrie Elizabeth Burks.

 Eddie loved making and working puzzles and working at the Arkansas State Fair.  He especially loved his caregivers, Pat Standridge, Karen Smith, and Mary Smith.  He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by half-brother, James Simpson, and a host of friends. His interment is at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector, Arkansas.

GELETA (BRYAN) FISHER DUVALL

DUVALL, Geleta (Bryan) Fisher, (birth name Allamay Davis) of Hector was born September 22, 1923 in Des Arc, Arkansas and left this world on May 4, 2021 at Legacy Heights at the age of 97 years young.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Leander George ‘LG’ Fisher and Elmer Duvall, her parents Samuel Bryan and Laura Churchill Bryan, her birth parents Joseph Frank Davis and Addie Ann Sanders Davis, a sister and several brothers, son Guary Don Fisher and his wife Susan Fisher, and two great-great grandsons Austin Lane Fisher and Devin Justice Townsend.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Dewey Whited of Atlanta, Tx, her son and daughter-in-law Sam and Ann Fisher of Scottsville, granddaughter Lisa Green and her husband Russell Green, grandson Randy Whited and his wife Kori Whited of Pflugerville, Tx, grandson Joe Fisher and his wife Linda Fisher of Scottsville, grandson Justin Fisher, a sister-in-law Opal Fisher and nephew and niece-in-law Arlan and Eloise Fisher of Mabelvale. She is also survived by several great and great-great grandchildren: BreAnna Allamay Ott and her husband Jacob Ott, Jacob Townsend and his wife Elizabeth and their children Devin and Nova Townsend, Virginia Whited, Miranda Whited, Jamie Fisher, Jessie Fisher, Emily Fisher, Marlee Lake, Zeke Lake, Cody Fisher and Eddie Underwood.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff and hospice care at Legacy Heights Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

MEMORIAL Guary Don Fisher age 72, of Russellville passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home.  He was born March 3, 1948, in Russellville to Leander George and Geleta Fisher (birth name, Allamay Davis).  

Guary was an avid kayaker and loved many other water sports.  He was a United States Veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leander Fisher; his wife, Susan Fisher; two great-nephews, Austin Lane Fisher and Devin Justice Townsend.

LLEWELLYN, James William age 93 of Oklahoma died December 12, 2017 at Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He was born near Hector, Arkansas May 7, 1924 to Thomas L. Llewellyn and Lillian N. Marable. His cremains were buried between his mother and father in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas on June 7, 2021.

Michele Waterson  February 10, 1955 – July 11, 2021

 Michele Waterson age 66 of Hector passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born February 10, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Arthur Traum and Janet Gross Traum. She was preceded in death by her parents.

 Survivors include her husband, Thomas Waterson; two children, Jason Andrew and Casey Waterson of Scottsville, AR, David Paul and Amanda Waterson of Scottsville, AR and four grandchildren, Maddison Danielle Waterson, Allison Marie Waterson, Hudson Thomas Waterson and Artie Nicole Waterson.   Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

RUSSELL EDWARD SWEKOSKY

February 10, 1938 – July 22, 2020 With grateful hearts we remember the lasting influence of his life on ours. Russ was born in St. Louis, MO to Edward and Marie Swekosky on February 10th, 1938. He attended Holy Family Catholic School, St. Mary’s High School, and Harris Teacher’s College. Russ was involved in sports activities throughout his school years. He lettered in soccer, track, and football. His soccer and football teams won conference championships and were inducted in the St. Mary’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Not only was he a stand out athlete, but he coached teams in the Catholic Youth Organization that took championships. Boy Scouts played an important part of his life as a youth and as and adult. Russ worked at Boy Scout Summer camps as a Director, and has been honored with two Order of the Arrow Awards for his service in the Scouts. His given Indian name for the Scouts was “Wullnaxin,” which is interpreted as “Good Looking One!” Russ had a remarkable talent and love for teaching and coaching. During his 40 year career, he had coached and taught a wide variety of subjects and sports in St. Louis, MO; Oak Ridge, TN; Columbia, MO; Foyil, OK. His longest tenure was as a P.E. teacher at MacAuthur Elementary for 24 years, where he was named teacher of the year for the 1982-1983 school year. After retirement in 1997, he would continue to teach as a substitute in Broken Arrow Public Schools and Vo Tech Schools. He delighted in being able to make a difference in the days of his students. His gift of making learning meaningful and fun through field trips, camping, classroom guests, and hands on activities was acknowledged by student and parents. Students were excited to go to school when he was going to be their teacher. Russ’ true devotion was to his family. He proposed to Rachel in front of the Broken Arrow Post Office at 12 noon. He promised her “The Magic of Ordinary Days” with faith, love, and family. They were married on Aug 5th, 1972. Through their nearly 48 years, they have shared their love of teaching, travel, and devotion to 3 terrific sons, whose school activities, sports, and family vacations took Russ to places he never dreamed to go. His new love was two grandsons with whom he could stomp leaves, take for walks, and give high-fives. His prayer was to bless his “little buddies,” Henry and Samuel. Russ is survived by his wife, Rachel Story Swekosky; three sons – Jason, Jared, and Jonathan and his wife Mallory, and grandsons Henry Russell and Samuel Richard Swekosky. He also leaves behind sisters Alice Kopsky and husband Paul, Gail Szymula and husband Don; and brother, Jim Swekosky and wife Shera; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Marie Swekosky; and his brothers by another mother, Beryl Ortwerth and Paul Ryan.

Tiffany Lynn Shipley of Visalia, California passed away on March 18, 2020.  She was born May 29, 1966 to Robert Valdez and Barbara Shipley.  A graveside Memorial service was held on July 25, 2021 at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector, Arkansas. 

RANDY JOE COSSEY SR.

Randy Joe Cossey Sr age 53 of Dardanelle died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born June 19, 1962 at Russellville to Radius and Stella Cossey. He was a member of the Round Rock Church.

 Survivors include h his wife, Kim Cossey; children, Mikel Joe Cossey (Jennifer), Randy Cossey Jr (Shannon) , Jonathan Cossey; one stepdaughter, Sherrie Litsey (Lee); five brothers, Lum Cossey, Blackie Cossey, Bobby Cossey, Larry Cossey, Delbert Cossey; one sister, Anna Byers; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A family conducted memorial services will be held at a later date with interment at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector, Arkansas.

Francis Kay (Harper) McAnally Stone

 Francis Kay (Harper) Stone passed away on May 18, 2018 at Enid, Oklahoma.  She was born November 13, 1946 in Waco, Texas to Walter James Harper and Lucille F. Thomas.  A private graveside service was held in May of 2021 at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector, Arkansas.

Bobby Allen Dacus age 41 of Dardanelle, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at his home. He was born May 15, 1980 in Russellville, Arkansas to Richard A. Dacus and Judy Dixon. He loved riding bikes, hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors.

 Survivors include his parents, Judy Dixon and Richard Dacus; his wife, Christi Dacus; three children, Brooke Dacus, Kaylee Dacus, Hunter Dacus; two brothers, Daniel Merritt (Lisa), Ronnie Merritt; one sister, Melissa Moorhead (Chad); one grandchild, Raelynn Dacus; one nephew, Rhett Merritt; five nieces, Shannon Rose, Zoe Merritt, Haley LeMire, Chloe LeMire, Alexa Moorhead and many other family and friends.

Sharon Blenn Coffman

Sharon Blenn Coffman, 75 of Hector, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home in Russellville. She was born February 8, 1946 in Russellville to the late V. O. and Wanda Lee “Peachie” (Hays) Coffman. She enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her Son, Brandon Dewitt Hon and his wife Pamela Cheryl Hon of Springdale and numerous other family and friends.

A private graveside service was held August 16, 2021 at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector to honor the life of Sharon Blenn Coffman.

SHIRLEY ANN (TRIPP) HOLLABAUGH

Shirley Ann Tripp Hollabaugh 86, of London, died Sunday, August 29, 2021, at her home. She was born October 18, 1934, in Hector, to Thomas Arvil and Anna Maud Tripp. She was an active member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Russellville for over forty years. As an active member, her passion was the Women’s Board of Mission, serving as Convention President in 1987.

Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was always ready to play cards, dominoes, trivia, and any other game that was popular with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, and sewing. Some of her happiest times were the vacations she took, and the holidays shared with family, friends and church. While raising her children, she was always active in school, church, scouts, community and helping wherever she was needed. She was loved and she will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Sue Wilder; her parents; and a sister, Patsy Gail Tripp.  She is survived by two daughters, Pam and Andrew Lakin of Chicago, IL, and Pat Richard of San Antonio, TX; two sons, Mike Hollabaugh of London, AR, and Steve and Becky Hollabaugh of McKinney, TX; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and Bill Hollabaugh the father of her children.

Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 4, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector with Dr. Steve Mosley officiating under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

JEAN ANN (HILL) CHURCHILL

JEAN ANN HILL CHURCHILL, 71, of Dickson, TN died on September 8, 2021 in Dickson. She was the daughter of the late William Byron Hill and the late Mary Alice Carmichael Hill of Little Rock, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband John Hugh Churchill, also of Dickson, and her sister Carla Jane Boerman of Pleasanton, CA. She is survived by son William H. Churchill (Emily), of Nashville, TN, daughter Mary Katherine Curcio (Michael), of Dickson, son Hugh O. H. Churchill (Gwen), of Fayetteville, AR, sisters Harriet Lou Casteel (Steve) and Billie Alice Rutherford (Skip), both of Little Rock, and nine grandchildren: Rosalind, Churchill, Edward, Margot, Timothy, Josephine, Emmett, Theodore, and Virginia Jean.  

Born September 10, 1949 in Muskogee, OK, she moved to Little Rock with her family in 1962–next door, fatefully, to her eventual husband of 47 years. She attended Hall High School, where she became well known for the vibrant personality that would become her enduring trademark. Married in 1972, the Churchills lived in Oxford, England and New Haven, CT before making their home in Conway, AR. In Conway, Jean held positions in early childhood education and was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and several service organizations, including P.E.O. There, Jean was supported by a veritable sisterhood of extraordinary friends and was the heart of an active household brimming with laughter and mischief–much of which she instigated. She was “Momma Jean” to everyone who walked through her door. In 2001, Jean and John moved to Washington, D.C., living–and Jean working–at the Kennedy-Warren, an art-deco building next to the National Zoo. There she reprised her nurturing habits, opening her heart and home to seemingly everyone. On any trip to the Churchills’ Kennedy-Warren apartment, one was likely to find an unlikely assemblage of people—an architectural historian, the building concierge, and the neighborhood butcher perhaps– all enjoying a gin and tonic at Jean’s invitation. The Churchills’ final years were spent in Dickson, TN where Jean entertained grandchildren, hosted friends, admired birds, scored the games of her beloved Washington Nationals, and honed her near-encyclopedic knowledge of movies from Hollywood’s Golden Age. 

An outdoor graveside ceremony will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 1pm at Walnut Grove Cemetery, east of Hector, Arkansas under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Bertha Sue Reeves, 85, of Atkins, passed away, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home. She was born January 17, 1936 in Hector, to the late Roy and Chloie Condley Williams.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl James, and Charles Reeves; and 1 daughter, Susie James.

She is survived by her 6 children, Carl Ray James, Palace Leroy James, Tony Reeves, Frankie Reeves, Ray Reeves and Gaye Reeves; 11 grandchildren; 2 brothers, David Williams and Randall Williams; and 3 sisters, Edith LeGrand, Mae McKay and Mary Jo Williams.

Mickey Turney, 64, of Hector, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021, at his home. He was born February 11, 1957, son of the late Neal and Lucy Duvall Turney. He loved to hunt, fish, play pool, and visit with friends. He ran the produce stand in Atkins for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jimmy Neal and Willis TurneyHe is survived by a brother, David Turney; and a host of relatives and other friends.

LARRY LEE PETTY MEMORIAL

Larry Lee Petty age 64 passed away May 27, 2016 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  He was born June 23, 1951 at Little Rock, Arkansas to Jess Willard Petty and Karlena Mae Potts.  He was retired from the United States Navy.  A memorial monument will be placed in Walnut Grove Cemetery beside his father and brother as well as many other Petty relatives.

WALTER FRANKLIN CHAMBERS III (Feller)

 WALTER FRANKLIN CHAMBERS III (Feller) 56, of Hector, found his way home to Glory, November 3, 2021, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. He was born June 14, 1965, in Midland, TX son of Walter II (Buddy) and Rosie Mitchell Chambers.

   Feller was an ordained minister who devoted his life to sharing God’s word with the youth of our community and was loved by all. He was active in the Hector football program. He grew up in the backwoods of Hector, AR. Hunting and fishing were his lifelong passions.

  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter and grandmother, Katie Belle Chambers of Texas; both fathers, Buddy Chambers and Don McCuin of Hector, Arkansas; and dear friend of many years, Rickey Helton.

  He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Lisa Chambers of Hector; daughters, Selena Chambers of Austin, TX, Khandie and husband Casey Yarber of Dover, Shanteal and husband Lucas Scott of Hector; son, Walter (Colton) Chambers of Hector; mother, Rosie McCuin of Stanton, TX; sisters, Suzanne and husband Roger Coffman of Hector; brother, Tony McCuin and wife Linda of Oklahoma; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his six grandchildren, Jace, Tucker, Wyatt, Sadie Grace, Tessa and Luther.

David Ricky Morris

David Ricky Morris age 62 of Bethpage, Tennessee passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tennessee. He was born November 10, 1958 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Norman David Morris and Betty Darter Morris. He was of the Assembly of God Faith and he was a welder. His favorite pastime was aggravating his sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents.

 Survivors include his three children, Dave Morris, Amanda Guizar, Maegan Morris; two brothers, Larry Nichols (Shirley), Ralph Myers (Regina); four sisters, Linda Thomason (William), Toni Tackett (Butch), Susan Koop, Rhonda Strange (Scott) and two grandchildren, Ashton and Autumn Guizar.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle officiated by Bro. Randy Wells. Visitation will be held Thursday, 1:00P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the chapel prior to the service. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector.

Helen Ruth Gamble

Helen R. Gamble, 91 of Treat, Arkansas, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home. She was born February 12, 1930 in Bull Frog Valley, Arkansas to Marion and Earla (Page) Bankston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mack Gamble; brothers, Melvin Bankston, Reece Bankston, sisters, Vera Underhill, Marion Felkins.

Helen was a member of Pleasant Grove Community Church. She and her husband owned Mack’s Pines for 30 years before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter, Valorie Gamble of Treat; son, Gary Gamble of Big Spring, Texas; grandchildren, Eric Gamble and Keith Gamble; seven great grandchildren and sister, Mattie Clowers.

Helen’s visitation will be 4-6pm, Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Russellville Family Funeral. Her funeral service will be 1pm, Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Russellville Family Funeral, with Bro. Bill Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector.

Corrine Dare

Corrine (Tackett) Dare, age 87, was taken to Heaven by her loving savior on December 24, 2021.  She was born on April 4, 1934, to William (Pete) and Cora Story Tackett in Hector, Arkansas.  She was the eleventh of fourteen children.

She married John Dare on February 17, 1951.  They moved back to Russellville in 1976 following his retirement from the U.S. Navy.  She got her cosmetology license in 1968 and worked as a beautician for 36 years until she retired from Cameo Hair Design.  She is a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Russellville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law David and Rhonda of Dardanelle; two grandsons, Cody and wife Jamie of Russellville and Jesse of Pensacola, Florida; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bill Tackett of Hector and Ronnie and Helen Tackett of Belle Vista; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at First Cumberland Presbyterian in Russellville with the Rev. Jim Fisk officiating, and burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers are Cody Dare, Jesse Dare, Edward Parks, George McAlister, Tom Pope, Terry Tackett, Tim Tackett and Nabil Oumimoun.

MICHAEL DEAN BITTLE

Michael Dean Bittle, age 61, of Dover, died Saturday, January 1, 2022, at his home.  He was born October 29, 1960, in Nevada, Missouri to Bobby Gean and Alma Dean Reynolds Bittle.

He was a charter member of Center Valley Missionary Baptist Church.  He was a former treasurer and Sunday school teacher.  He was a proud member of the local 155 pipefitter union.

Survivors include his parents; a son, Michael Bittle of Dover; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leann and Brock Smith of Siloam Springs and Michelle and Joe Shaw of Heartland, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Debra Bittle of Center Ridge and Robert and Carol Bittle of Dardanelle; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Center Valley Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Roach officiating.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Hector with Pastor David Diffey officiating and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00-6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bittle, Joe Shaw, Brock Smith, Ethan Edge, Jack Smith, and Isaac Beene.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Bittle and Robert Bittle.

MICHAEL RAY STONE

Michael Ray Stone, age 72, of Russellville, died Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born February 13, 1949, in Evansville, Indiana, to Rev. Carl H. and Lois A. Peavler Stone.

He is a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Russellville, and a veteran of the United States army, where he served a tour of duty in Vietnam as a medic. He was a 1967 graduate of Russellville High School, and furthered his education at University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, graduating in 1981 with an honorary degree in accounting. He also received his radiology technician degree when serving in the army. He married Phyllis K. Horn in Russellville, where they lived, in 1987.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time, especially after retirement playing golf with his close friends. He also enjoyed playing his banjo with the Piney Creek Ramblers, as well as countless friends in the Ozark Mountains during musical gatherings, the good times spent at friend’s cabins, and the great outdoors. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends that love him dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Stone; two brothers, Chuck Stone and Donnie Peavler; his father-in-law, J.D. Horn; a niece, Angie Stone Young; and a brother-in-law, Randy D. Horn.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Stone; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Brooke, and Cameron Southard; two beloved grandchildren, Carsyn and Claire Southard, all of Atkins; a brother, Ronnie Peavler of Duncan, OK; his sister-in-law, Marty Horn of Russellville; and a niece, Brittany Horn Marcellini of Memphis, TN.

A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Shinn Chapel, with Pastors Doug Hambrick and Bill Moody officiating, with visitation immediately following the service.

Burial will be private, and arrangements are under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all our friends and medical staff, and personnel that have helped them during Mike’s fight with Cancer.

TEDDIE GENE STANDRIDGE age 68 of Hector passed away January 12/13,  2022 at his home.  He was born July 15, 1953 to Opal Teddie”Ted” Standridge and Freedia Scarber.  

A private graveside funeral was held January 15, 2022 at Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector with Rev. Darwin Barnhouse officiating.  

Leonard Eugene Chisum

Leonard Eugene “Bob” Chisum, 72 of Nogo, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord, Friday, January 28, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 13, 1949 in Ben Hur, Arkansas to Alvie and Julene Reddell Chisum.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis  Chisum; son, Scott Chisum and wife Jackie; daughter, Sheila Vaughn; stepchildren, Anna Henry and Roger, Aaron Holt and Alyshia, Neva Thomas and Wayne, Owen Holt and Tina; grandchildren, Tesia Moore and Frank, Chloe Chisum, Isaac Chisum, Colter Vaughn, Kaitlin Henry, Aalia Holt, Aria Holt, A.J. Holt, Daniel Thomas, Sarah Smith, Rebekah  McCoy, Rechelle Wright, Samuel Holt and Emily Estridge ; several great grandchildren; siblings, Troy Chisum and Kathy, Roy Chisum and Charlotte, Helen Campbell and Dewayne, Mike Chisum and Lesa, as well as numerous other family and friends.  

Leonard, also known as Leonard Bob or Bob, was a loving husband, father and grandfather.   Leonard was the pastor of Falling Water Church for several years.  He was faithful to his church, family and employer.  His favorite pastime was cutting wood.   

 His visitation will be 5-7pm, Monday, January 31, 2022 at Russellville Family Funeral. His service will be 10am, Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Falling Water Church with Bro. Jon Burdine, Bro. Roy Chisum and Bro. Mike Chisum officiating.  Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. 

 Pallbearers will be Lionel Humphrey, Paul Ray Chisum, Isaac Chisum, Jose Rivera, Mike Howell and Billy Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Chisum, John Giese, Harold Hendrix, Bill Hendrix, John Biggers and Jonathon Humphrey.

KENNETH DALE MYERS

Kenneth Dale Myers, age 75 of Dover, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. He was born July 25, 1946 in Des Arc, Arkansas to the late Paul Myers and Virgie Petty Myers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth Simshauser Myers and his siblings, Raymond Myers, Odean Trueblood, Lois Quinn, Paul “Rusty” Myers, Helen Dawson, Norman Jr. Myers and George Myers.

Survivors include five children, Glenda and Mark Small, Catherine and David Hull, Kem and Richard Alewine, Kenneth D. Myers Jr., Paul Myers, all of Dover; four brothers, David and Teresa Myers of Russellville, Troy and Letha Myers of Dover, Coy and Ella Myers of Dover, Greg and Karen Myers of Arizona; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

DAVID LEE MORRIS

David Lee Morris, age 64 of Dover, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1957 in Spokane, Washington to the late Willis Ray Morris and Evelyn Joyce Rogers. David was a member of the Gravel Hill Church of Christ, he loved animals, hunting and fishing and visiting with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Jeff Morris, Jerry Morris and Wayne Morris.

Survivors include his brothers, Jimmy Morris (Terrie), Roger Morris (Karla), Joe Morris, Randy Morris (Barbara), Troy Morris (Terri), all of Dover; many nieces and nephews and numerous family and friends.

BILLY TERRAL MILLER

Billy Terral Miller, 72, of Cabot, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Baptist Health Hospital in Conway. He was born January 12, 1950, in Farmerville, Louisiana, son of the late Leonard and Unia (Lewis) Miller. He served in the Air Force and U.S. Army for 30 years, and loved his family dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his oldest brother, Pete Miller; and a nephew, Barry Miller.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly Jean Miller; daughter, Wendy Francis Miller; son, Christopher Lynn Miller; daughter, Melissa Ann (Miller) Melnik and son-in-law, Michael Anthony Melnik; grandson, Michael Anthony Melnik; granddaughter, Melody Ann Melnik; his brothers, Leonard (Mary) Miller of Flagstaff, AZ, Johnny Miller of Branson, MO; sister-in-law, Margie Miller; several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 19, at Lemley Chapel with Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers are Chris Leach, Stan Smith, Shawn Dolph, and Shane Dolph. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Leach and Jerry Leach.
