Linda Fay Singleton Wisdom, age 57 of Hector passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at her home. She was born April 21, 1961 at Russellville, Arkansas to the late Roy and Mary Brown Singleton. She was preceded in death by her; grandparents, Scottie Sue Vaughn, Roy E. Singleton Sr.; brother, Roy E. Singleton Jr.; aunts and uncle, Helen and Charles Lafoon; father-in-law, Clinton Wisdom and uncle-in-law, Max Wisdom.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Wisdom; one son, Jeremy David Hughes; one brother, Brent Singleton; three sisters, Brenda Kay Wisdom, Gloria Hardgrave, Treissa Robinson; brother-in-law, Russell Lawrence Wisdom and one grandchild, Calab Hughes. Two aunts; Betty Waldo (George), Linda Harness (Edward). Three nieces; Ashlee Hardgrave, Jessica Robinson, Raeden Robison, Mother-in-law; Peachy Lojean Wisdom.

DONNA JEWELL MULLEN – Calvary Section, Row B, Lot 19

Donna Jewell Mullen, 78 of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 2, 1940 in Oil Trough, Independence County, Arkansas to Joseph Edward Hamilton and Lydia Ann Clinkenbeard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mullen; ten brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her three children, Alan Heiser (Katrina) of Houston, Texas, Beverly Massey (Randal) of Russellville, Greg Heiser, (Marie) of Lamar ; four step-children, Kevin Mullen, Barbara Butynyskyi, Patty Barrella, Sue Papandrea all of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Brandon Heiser, Justin Heiser, Cody Heiser, Tiffanie (Matt) Wood, Bethanie Massey, Christopher (Brooklyn) Heiser, Nicholas Heiser; five great grandchilden, Bentley Heiser, Brooklyn Heiser, Caleb Heiser; Isabella Condon, Evalyn Condon; several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Donna was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. Her hobbies were fishing and shopping.

Her visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Russellville Family Funeral Chapel. The Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Russellville Family Funeral, with burial following in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, under the direction of Russellville Family Funeral. Joseph Lamont Callan McElfish was born January 31, 1977 to Priscilla Lynn Harper McElfish and Rex Lamont Callan in Russellville, Arkansas. He died on December 15, 2018.

He was married to Denise and they were parents to Asher Callan. In March 2019, he was buried with his mother in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector, Arkansas.

RUBY FRANCIS CHURCHILL – Mark Section, Row B, Lot 03

Ruby Francis Churchill, age 87, passed away March 25, 2019 in Grants, New Mexico. Francis was interned at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Hector, Arkansas on May 27, 2019. Francis was born November 17, 1931 in Orange, Texas to John Green Churchill and Thelma Ruby Parrish. Francis is survived by her brother and sister, John Paul and Reve; her daughters Geneva and Mary (Bride’); her son Lawrence (Larry) and son-in-law Robert; her grandchildren Cheryl, Ana, Danielle, Harlan and Michael; her great grandsons Aidan and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews ~ each of whom she adored and loved in their own uniqueness.

Our bright light, Francis, has passed out of this world. She was a powerhouse of grace, beauty, wisdom, talent, forgiveness and faith. She taught us to be brave, she taught us to always live in our truth. She loved her family. She made you believe in yourself. She was not only a teacher of art, she was a teacher of beauty. She touched so many lives. Her students have been found in the most far-flung places and have told of the impact she had on their lives. She had a way of helping people see just how special and wonderful they are. Now she is among our ancestors, a tradition of fearless rebels of whom we are proud to be connected. To all of our family and all those who loved her, our hearts hug yours.

BROWN, FLOY EULEAN BROWN – Calvary Section, Row B, Lot 19

Floy Eulean(Goates) Brown, 94, of Russellville, formerly of Hector, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at St. Mary’s Reg. Med. Center in Russellville. The daughter of John Clark Goates and Jenny Bell Ross Goates, she was born April 16, 1924 in Scottsville.

She was a graduate of Hector High School and a Cook with Hector Public School. Eulean was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Eulean was a member of the Hector Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, reading, baking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, infant grandson, Carrell Hanna III, four brothers, James, Walton, Carl, and D.L. Goates and three sisters, Ruby Sikes, Mickey Langley and Angie Dickey.

Eulean is survived by her husband, Donald Brown of Russellville; a daughter, Jeanne Laymon of Hector; two granddaughters, Carlotta Hanna of Russellville; Natalie Hill (Dustin) of Russellville; six great grandchildren, Victoria Roberson, Kyler Roberson, Brock Hill, Anna Grace Hill, Dylan Hill, Katelyn Hill and a special niece, Sue Hill.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, March 15, 2019 at Hector Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Terry Latham and Rev. Ellis McCuin will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector by Humphrey Funeral Service.

Linda Sue (Coffman) Freeman, was born July 5, 1947 and died March 7, 2019.

She was the wife of Cecil Freeman and the daughter of Stanley Coffman and Avis Barham Coffman. She was buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

INA J GARRIGUS MARABLE – Mark Section, Row E, Lot 15

Ina J Garrigus Marable of Hector went to her reward in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 9th 2019 at her home in Hector surrounded by her family. She was born on March 2, 1934 to the late Homer and Jessie Leavell Garrigus.

Ina had the most loving, compassionate and forgiving heart. She was a Christian woman who truly lived by what she believed. Ina attended the Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church.She worked at International Shoe Factory while Ron served in the US Navy.She was a farmer on the Marable Family Farm & worked hard with the chickens & in the garden to provide for her family.She was an excellent cook & loved nothing better than feeding her family and friends. Ina enjoyed reading and appreciated the help from the women at the Hector Library. Ina enjoyed quilting and presented her family and friends with many beautiful quilts. Her seamstress skills with a needle & thread insured everyone was properly fitted. She enjoyed mowing her massive yard and quickly mastered her Hustler ZTR Commercial mower. She enjoyed working in her yard where she grew elephant ears, roses & many other flowers.She was an Arkansas Razorback fan and especially loved watching the basketball team with her dear friend Della Culwell.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Gwen Kerns, Una Cochran, and John Garrigus; and by the father of her children, Ron Marable.She is survived by her children, Rhonda and Terry Anderson, and Keith Marable and Cathe Marable; one grandson, Talon Marable Anderson; great-grandchildren, Aria, Teagan and Triztan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Beth Marable of Bartlesville, OK, Gale Garrigus of Hector, AR, and Sue Ellen Marable of LaVernia, TX; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by a special niece, Janet Dean, who is like a daughter to her; and her best friend, Sharon Coffman, who is the godmother to her children.

A family conducted celebration of life will be held 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 13, at Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Duawn Mearns and Pastor Christi Pack Johnston officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Carol Townsend for years of loving care, as well as Sandy Dollar, Kayla Petite, Sharon Brimer, Dani Gardner, Ellen Ables and Katie Carter for dedicated care that allowed Ina to stay at home

Mary Louise Standridge, 69, of London, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.

She was born August 1, 1949, in Harrisonville, Missouri, daughter of the late James E. and Gloria Davison Luckett.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, James Richard Luckett and William “Bud” Luckett; and 1 grandchild. She is survived by 5 sisters, Anna, Linda, Nita, Sue, and Barbara; daughter, Christina; 3 sons, Michael, Billy and Travis; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren and a special friend Rick Lewis.

Graveside service and burial is 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 26, at Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

NORMA RAE (BROWN) WOOD – Paul Section, Row G, Lot 15

Norma Rae (Brown) Wood, 79, of Russellville, AR, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. The daughter of Olen and Euna Ethel (George) Brown, she was born December 20, 1939, in Hector, AR.

She was a graduate Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She served most of her working years as in finance administration management with the U.S. Forestry Service. Norma was a member of the Eastern Star, and associated with the Presbyterian faith. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, was an avid reader, and also enjoyed knitting, crochet & embroidery.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Wood (Pam) of Hector; and, Randy Wood (Patricia) of Pahrump, NV; four grandchildren, James Wood (Kendra) of Pea Ridge, AR; Alvin Wood (LeAnna); and Daniel Wood, both of Hector; and Jessica Wood of Kenneth City, FL; seven great grandchildren, Sierra Morris (Micah), David Wood and Daniel Wood, all of Pea Ridge; and, Tyler Wood, Ethan Wood, Levi Wood & Emily Wood, all of Hector.

KENNETH EARL BROWN – Abraham Section, Row B, Lot 06

Kenneth Earl Brown, 78, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2018, at Legacy Heights Nursing.

He was born August 20, 1940, in Texas, son of the late Bart and Gussie Brown. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Korean War.

He is survived by his son, Ken Brown (Alma); brother, Stanley Brown; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 29, at Lemley Chapel. Rosa Newton Tripp, age 92, of Fort Smith, died November 13, 2018, at Mercy Medical Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on April 11, 1926, in Hector to Monroe Caudle and Lillie Sanders Bohanon.

She was a member of the Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church, River Valley Square Dance, and the Retired Teachers of Pope County Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Hamberg; two husbands, Hanford Newton and Harold Tripp; a grandson, Jeffrey Stiles; and all of her six siblings. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Buck and Cherie Newton of Vian, Oklahoma; two daughters and son-in-law, Kay Wallace of Fort Smith, and Sherry and Dub Sossamon of Owasso, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Allison Bond Griffey, Doug Pratt, Stephanie Willsey, Melissa Newton, and Michael Newton; 10 great-grandchildren, Derek, Brandon, and Blaine Griffey, Isabella and Lila Grace Willsey, Daniel and Hayden Stiles, Talon and Evan Newton, and Tristan Hinds; and four great-great-grandchildren, Grayson, Gunner, Trinity, and Olivia Griffey.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November, 16, 2018, at the Shinn Chapel with Rev. Brian Brock officiating. Frances Lou Thompson, 84, of Hector, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville. She was born January 14, 1934, in Fabens, Texas, daughter of the late Benjaman H. and Clara Stephens Lusk.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Marlin Ray Simpson and second husband, Charles Thompson, son, Marlin Edward Simpson. She is survived by her children, Darvin Simpson, Garland Simpson and Becky Curtis, Donnie and Debbie Simpson, Ricky Simpson, Colleen and Ricky Parks, Denise and Gary Alexander, Vicki and Jake Williams; sister, Floy Baxter; brother, Earl and Sharon Lusk, numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Susan Newton Pratt Hamberg, AGE 68 (April 14, 1950 – September 27, 2018), of Russellville, died Thursday at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 14, 1950, in Hector to Hanford Garland and Rosa Bell Bohannan Newton.

She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Russellville and was an RN for over 20 years in Arkansas and Oklahoma. She loved the outdoors especially the lake. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan.

She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include a son, Douglas Pratt of Chicago, Illinois; her mother, Rosa Newton Tripp of Fort Smith; a brother and sister-in-law, Buck and Cherie Newton of Vian, Oklahoma; two sisters and brother-in-law, Kay Wallace of Fort Smith, and Sherry and Dub Sossamon of Owasso, Oklahoma.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Shinn Chapel with Rev. Brian Brock officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery near Hector and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday until service time in the chapel.

She is survived by her husband, William “Billy” Lewis; step-mother, Betty Regina Coffman; daughters, Felicia Harris, Heather Harris Bishop (Brad), Shay Lewis, and Shanna Lewis Welker (Derek); brothers, Gearld Coffman and wife Cindy, Terry Coffman, David Coffman, Shawn Coffman and wife Shannon, Danny Coffman, and Jamie Coffman and wife Andrea; sisters, Andrea and husband Robert Eddy, and Tina Coffman White; grandchildren, Blaine Holloway and wife Brooke, and Makayla Wyllia, Isabella Bishop, Lyndsey Holloway, Will Welker, Barrett Welker; a great-grandchild, Cash Holloway; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

HERIBERTO “ED” FUENTES

Heriberto “Ed” Fuentes died October 25, 2000. He was born September, 12, 1936 to Andre’s Fuentes and Grace Corlew. His ashes were placed in Walnut Grove Cemetery on September 28, 2018.

He was married to Linda Powell for 41 years and they had three children, Shaun, Malissa and Kim and 8 grandchildren. “Ed” served in the US Army.

CHARLES EDWARD PARKS – John Section, Row S, Lot 12

Charles Edward Parks, age 92, of Dardanelle, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at his home. He was born September 23, 1925, in Dardanelle to William Edward and Carman Earcle Phillips Parks.

Mr. Parks was a United States Army veteran and served in WWII. He was a member of the VFW- Post 3141 and a member of the Masonic Lodge #213 in Dardanelle. He served as Fire Chief for the Dardanelle rural Fire Department and active in the Yell County Fire Control. He enjoyed playing Saturday night bingo.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ruth Parks; second wife, Ida Mary Parks; a brother, Clarence Lee Parks; two sisters, Pauline and Lorene; and a great-grandson, Braydon. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Edward Parks Jr. of Dardanelle and Clyde Randall and Faye Parks of Dardanelle; a step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Dwaine and Kim Millsaps of New Blaine; a step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Debbie and Sammy Morden of Cabot; four sisters, Willie Earcle Sides of Dardanelle, Ruby Gilbert of Dardanelle, Ruthie Dean of Texas and Faye Adkison of California; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a special friend, Ann Davis; and his cat, Smokey.

The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 11 2018, at the Shinn Chapel.
