Greetings from Walnut Grove Cemetery Association Board Members.  We hope you have had a blessed and healthy year.   We would like to thank each of you for your generous contributions to Walnut Grove Cemetery.  We could not maintain our beautiful sacred grounds without your continued support.  We have enclosed a chart to honor all our faithful supporters from last year. 

It is time for our annual fund drive and that’s your opportunity to donate to Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Your donation to the Maintenance Fund allows us to keep the cemetery well cared for and looking good.  Your donation to the Long Term Care Fund allows us to set aside monies that generate income to carry on cemetery maintenance for years to come.  Donations to our current Maintenance Fund and/or the Long Term Care Fund is greatly appreciated.  Please specify which fund and make your tax deductible donations to the Walnut Grove Cemetery Association, c/o Janice Mitchell, 1464 Welcome Home Road, Hector, AR  72843.

Our current board members are Rick Pruitt, Janice Mitchell, Randal Crouch, David Williams, Charles Gray, and our newest board member, Shannon Pruitt.  Randal Williams is currently inactive and T.Troy Coffman has resigned.  Thank you Troy and Randell for your service and a special welcome to Shannon Pruitt, who has many family ties to Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Decoration Day will be May 30, 2021 at Walnut Grove Cemetery, but due to Covid, there will be no program in the pavilion.  The Barnhouse Family will present their family program hopefully next year. New flags for Veterans will soon be in place and we encourage you to visit the cemetery to honor the graves of loved ones with flowers, etc, at your convenience.  

Memorial plaques are available to be added to the Memorial Bridge at $100 each.  What a great way to honor your loved one. In order to obtain headstone cleaning information, contact 479 284 3084 for pricing and further details.

Our Maintenance Fund balance as of March 31, 2021 is $3,611.73 We are hoping for another good fund drive this year for continued maintenance of the cemetery and for the Long Term Care Fund. Thanks again to our families who help us keep Walnut Grove Cemetery a beautiful resting place for our loved ones. The names of those buried in Walnut Grove Cemetery from April 4, 2020—March 31, 2021 are listed on the back of this letter. Our cemetery year runs April 1-March 31.
