Dear Family and Friends,
First and foremost, we would like to thank each of you for your generous contributions to Walnut Grove Cemetery. We could not maintain our beautiful grounds without your continued support. We have enclosed a special chart to honor all our faithful supporters. As we begin our fund drive for the maintenance of the cemetery, we ask that you join us again in this endeavor. Please make your tax deductible donation to the Walnut Grove Cemetery Association, c/o Janice Mitchell, 1464 Welcome Home Rd, Hector, AR 72843 or to any other board member listed on the back of this letter.
We hope you enjoy all our recent projects that your donations have made possible. We continue to make improvements to the cemetery such as the cleanup work in the South East corner of the cemetery that will be used for future development. The Memorial Bridge is a focal point in the cemetery and we continue to add memorial plaques for $100. An information sheet is enclosed for your convenience. Also, in honor of our veterans, we have mounted U.S. Flags on their headstones for an awesome patriotic display.
Our biggest project for the past year was our “Cross” in Calvary section of the cemetery. This 20’ white cross can be seen from anywhere in our cemetery. We believe this adds not only beauty, but a focus for reflection. Thanks to your donations, we have paid for half the cost of the cross and its installation. We will continue to accept donations for the cross project until Memorial Day 2016. At that time, we will have a plaque prepared to display the names of all who donated to this project. Please indicate ‘cross’ or ‘maintenance’ on your donation. We have enclosed a special chart to honor those who have donated so far to the “Cross Project”.
REMINDERS: (1) Check out our website at www.walnutgrovecemeteryofhector.org and ‘like’ us on facebook.
(2) Our guidelines say that all reserved plots should have an identifying marker on a reserved gravesite within 4 months or the gravesite is not considered reserved even if fees were paid. Please mark your reserved plots!
(3) According to our 2011 guidelines, fences, hedges or enclosures are not allowed in the cemetery. Enclosures in existence prior to 2011 may remain in place as long as they are maintained by family members. The Walnut Grove Cemetery Association is not responsible for maintenance of such enclosures. Please don’t let your enclosure be a sore spot to our cemetery.
We extend a special thanks to our Cemetery Grounds Director, Randal Crouch, who has done an excellent job of maintaining the cemetery this past year. Thanks to our families who keep the gravestones looking good and the actual graves clean and decorated.
The cemetery workday is scheduled for May 9 at 10 a.m. and the Decoration Day program will be on May 24 at 1:30 p.m. This year we will honor the William D. and Sarah Eddy Condley Family from the Welcome Home Community. They had 11 children and were active members of Welcome Home FWB Church where they donated property for the church building and helped organize the church. Our records show 107 Condley ancestors buried in this cemetery. Members of the Condley family will provide the entire program with singing, family talks, picture displays, handouts, and the devotional message.
Our Maintenance Fund balance from April 15, 2014 was $6,905.88 and our Maintenance Fund balance as of April 15, 2015 is $6,990.71. A detailed financial report and a copy of our cemetery guidelines will be available upon request at the Decoration. A full disclosure of outstanding debts can be found on the back of this letter.
Thanks again for helping us keep Walnut Grove Cemetery a beautiful resting place for our loved ones. Ester Clayton, 86, of Dover, AR, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014 at her home. The daughter of Jess and Ethel Freeman, she was born September 29, 1927 in Pelsor. She was a member of the Full Gospel church. She enjoyed quilting, camping and visiting people. She was preceded in death by her husband Earnie Clayton; and her parents.
Left to cherish her memory is one daughter Shirley Blackford and husband Larry of Pelsor; two granddaughters, Donna Proctor and husband Greg of Dover, Michelle Voss and husband Donnie of Hector; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and three sisters, Evelyn, Wilma Jean and Brenda.
There will be a private, immediate family burial at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service. Burial at Walnut Grove Cemetery Hector, Arkansas.
RUTH CHRISTINE (COFFMAN) TRIGG – Moses Section, Row D, Lot 03
Ruth Christine Trigg, 87, of Sherwood, AR, formerly of Flint, MI, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, AR. The daughter of Jasper and Ethel L Bowden Coffman, she was born November 3, 1926 in Hector, AR. She was a housewife where she raised seven children. Christine enjoyed cake decorating, quilting, sewing, fishing, metal detecting and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 53 years. William Henry Trigg; son, William Kieth Trigg; three grandsons, Dylan George, Ryan Wilbanks, Nathan Wilbanks; six brothers and one sister.
Survivors include six children, Reta Yarnold (Richard) of Sherwood, Beverly Wilbanks of Sherwood, Vicki George (Johnny) of Danville, Bruce Trigg of Linden, MI, Michele Miller (Mark) of Sherwood, Kevin Trigg (Kristen) of Sherwood; 14 grandchildren; three sisters, Wathena Williams of Atkins, Vera Epperson of Morrilton and Louise Tucker of Atkins.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, July 18, 2014 at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Ricky Kimzey will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, AR by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home. REV. JIMMY LEE CHRONISTER – Calvary Section, Row F, Lot 12
Rev. Jimmy Lee Chronister, 75, of the Buttermilk Community north of Atkins, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in Little Rock. He was born March 3, 1939, in Russellville, son of the late William and Syble Duvall Chronister.
He was a Free Will Baptist minister, a retired farmer and a member of the Sweet Home Free Will Baptist Church. Jim started preaching on Jan. 1, 1965. He preached in the Antioch Association for one year before he was ordained as a Free Will Baptist minister. He and his wife, Mary, pastored several churches in Arkansas, including St. Joe-Atkins, Union Grove-Atkins, Woodlawn-Russellville, First Free Will Baptist-Glenwood, Slaty Crossing-Dardanelle, Center Valley-Russellville (now Baker’s Creek), Johnson-Scranton, Salem-Glenwood, Smith Springs-Morrilton, New Life-Morrilton and finally Sweet Home Free Will Baptist Church of Atkins, where they have been since February 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ann Chronister; son, Keith L. Chronister and wife Vickie; brother, J.D. Chronister and wife Elma Zell; sister, Evelyn and husband Dwayne Helton; grandchildren, Cody W. Chronister and wife Lindsey, Clay A. Chronister and wife Megan and Clint G. Chronister and wife Kristen; and two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Paige Chronister and Landree Harris.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, at Sweet Home Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Campbell and Rev. Freddie Goates officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Cody Chronister, Clay Chronister, Clint Chronister, Tim Whittenburg, Bill Pinion, Kenny Willcutt, Charles Martin and Steve Isom. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Hays, Bobby Higgins, Carl Rackley, Joe Garrison, Raymond Blackwell, Dalton Johnson and all men of Sweet Home Free Will Baptist Church.

RADIS WILLIAM “BUDDY” COSSEY (Memorial only) – John Section, Row N, Lot 8
Radis William “Buddy” Cossey age 95 of Dardanelle died Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home. He was born September 8, 1918 at Hector to the late James Franklin and Lillie Belle Cross Cossey.
He was a member of the Delaware Assembly of god Church. He loved gardening and fishing. Survivors include seven children, Delbert Cossey and wife Sondra of Texarkana, Lum Cossey and wife Lena of Pottsville, Blackie Cossey of London, Bobby Cossey and wife Mary of London, Anna Belle Byers and husband Buddy of Russellville, Larry Joe Cossey and wife Carol of Pottsville, Randy Joe Cossey and wife Kym of Ola; two brothers, Jessie Cossey and wife Edra, Lonnie Cossey both of Dover and twenty one grandchildren; forty eight great grandchildren and sixty two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Delaware Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Graves Cemetery. In addition, there will be a Memorial marker in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas.Visitation will be held Monday, 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. at the chapel. Sons will serve as pallbearers.

WILLETTE HUMPHREYS ROWLANDS – John Section, Row K, Lot 6
Willette Humphreys Rowlands, 63, of Russellville, died Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home. She was born December 27, 1950, in Russellville, to Shelby Pat and Melvina Pauline Gibson Humphreys.
She was a 1969 graduate of Russellville High School where she was an honor student, and attended Arkansas Tech University. She was a payroll clerk at Arkansas Nuclear One, a Girl Scout and Brownie leader, and a lifetime member of First Assembly of God where she taught two Sunday School classes. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Rowlands; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristen and Randy Minton of Little Rock, and Rebecca and Scott Jackson of Fayetteville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Sue Humphreys, Richard and Ann Humphreys and Michael and Kim Humphreys, all of Russellville; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Paulette Jackson of Russellville, and Nancy and Darryl Gill of Maumelle; and four grandchildren, Adrianne Caroline Minton, Ella Katherine Minton, Anna Katherine Jackson and Charlotte Grace Jackson.
The memorial service will be at 3 p.m., on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at First Assembly of God, officiated by the Rev. Keith Underhill and the Rev. Ronnie Morris. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery will be private, and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
BILLY JOE McALISTER – Paul Section, Row G, Lot 35
Billy Joe McAlister, 85, of Hector, passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at his home. The son of Joseph and Lou Ella Bowden McAlister, he was born April 27, 1929 in Hector. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War Era, serving with the U.S. Army of occupation in Germany. He worked for 30 years as a merchandiser for the Dr. Pepper Bottling Company in Russellville and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Morrilton.
He was a past president of the Hector Ruritan Club and a member Hector Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting coins and knives and watching sports. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Anita Hill McAlister; brother, James McAlister.
Survivors include three children , Elizabeth Ann McAlister of Hector, Randal J. JOHN RAY MASON – Calvary Section, Row H, Lot 18
John Ray Mason, 58 of Hector, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home in Russellville. He was born May 18, 1956 at Bunker, Missouri to Dewey and Pauline Burns Mason.
John was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Douglas Mason and a sister, Wanda Mick. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Mason; two sons, Joshua Mason and his Fiance’ Adrienne Sherwood of Russellville, William Mason and wife Chelsea of Hector; one daughter, Mica Mason of Russellville; four granddaughters, Rheanne, Cadence, Melody and Aria; one sister, Betty Gregory of Cleveland, Arkansas; one brother Roger Mason and wife Janice of McCamey, Texas.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Scottsville Assembly of God officiated by the Rev. Arnold Humphrey. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Broussard Funeral Home of Russellville. The visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
MARY MAGDELENE CAUDLE – John Section, Row O, Lot 14
Mary Magdelene Caudle, 85 of Gentry, AR passed away on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Siloam Springs Regional Hospital. Mrs. Caudle was born December 29, 1928 in Hector, AR; she was the daughter of Virgil and Roxie Tate.
Mary was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gentry, AR. and a prayer warrior. She belonged to the West Point Study Club, was an avid reader and enjoyed researching her family’s history.
Survivors Include: Children Michael and Regina Allison Roe, AR Thomas & Nancy Allison Siloam Springs, AR Marsha Allison-Sites Gentry, AR Grandchildren Sean Allison, Todd Taylor, Dallas & Stephanie Sites, Hudson Sites, Bethany Sites-Cole & Brandon Great Grandchildren Hayden & Zachary Taylor, Ellie & Jackson Cole Mrs. Caudle is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Benjamin Allison and Linzy Caudle, granddaughter Dana Allison-Taylor and 2 sisters Anna Jane Tate & Jabonia Tate-Barnhouse.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at the funeral home from 5pm – 8pm The funeral will be held at the Gentry First Assembly of God Church in Gentry, AR on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm. The burial will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, AR on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10:00 am under the direction of Backstrom – Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, AR.
LEE COFFMAN – John Section, Row P, Lot 27b
Lee Coffman, age 70, of North Shore, California, passed away on October 8, 2014. He was born in Hector, Arkansas on September 11, 1940, to Doyle Coffman and Ida Lee Martin Coffman.
He is survived by his wife Carol Watts Coffman and daughter Shelly of Tennessee and sons Randy Coffman and Jimmy Watts of California. A private family memorial service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, Arkansas.
He was a US Navy veteran.
ACEL “RAYMOND” HAMILTON – Calvary Section, Row B, Lot 14
Acel “Raymond” Hamilton, Jr., 52, passed away November 18, 2014, after a year-long battle with cancer. Raymond was born November 19, 1961, in Star City, to Carolyn and Acel Hamilton, Sr. He served in the Air National Guard from Feb. 1980 to Feb. 1986. He was an ordained minister with Evangelistic Fellowship. Raymond pastored at Thompson Chapel in Appleton for three years sharing God’s message. He also owned Hamilton Construction and enjoyed building and remodeling houses. In years past, Raymond ran races and marathons, including the L.A. Marathon two times.
He was preceded in death by his father, Acel Raymond Hamilton, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, JoAnn; two daughters, Lydia Hamilton of the home and Kristie Hamilton and fiancé Alex Ahouse of Morrilton; son, Ace Hamilton and wife April of Russellville; granddaughter, Aliza Ahouse of Morrilton; step-grandson, Donovyn Ketchum of Russellville; mother and step-father, Carolyn and Gene Culwell of Caglesville; sisters, Pam Curtis and Sandra Bryant of Appleton; brother, Jody Hamilton and wife Julie of Atkins; step-brother, Aaron Culwell and wife Shelley of Russellville; step-sister, Karen and husband Mike Hokhold of Hector; two half-sisters, Lynda Petrides of Plainfield, CT and Cindy Coughlin; and numerous family members and friends. Additionally, a special place in his life was taken by Rev. Jimmy and Connie Coffman of Appleton: they were his mentors and friends throughout his ministry and before. They were all deeply loved by Raymond.
The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, November 20 at Lemley Funeral Home in Atkins. The funeral will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, November 21, at Hector First Assembly of God with Rev. Shane Williams and Rev. Terry Duvall officiating, with special music by Sandy Stroud, followed by burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector. Pallbearers are his son, Ace Hamilton; nephews, Jeremy Curtis, B.J. Reid and Dustin Curtis; and longtime friends, Donnie Haley and Rev. Joey Hanna.

Ezra Cruz Stutzman, infant son of Salena Storment of Russellville and Darrell D.Stutzman of Dover, died Monday, December 1, 2014, at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Duane Daniel Stutzman, his maternal great-grandfathers, Rev. Lee Cossey and Abraham Vargas, and his paternal great-grandparents, Dan G. and Marie Stutzman and Ray and Pauline Miller. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Piper Koster of Russellville and Zoie Stutzman of Dover; his maternal grandparents, Kathy Durant of Conway and Ronald Perea of Bellflower, California; his paternal grandmother, Dana Stutzman of Wooster, Ohio; and his maternal great-grandmothers, Billie Cossey of Russellville, and Helen Vargas of Long Beach, California.
Service arrangements are private and burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector, under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville
OLA FAYE CONDLEY – Matthew Section, Row H, Lot 05
Ola Faye Condley, 79, of Hector, died Saturday, January 3, 2015, at her home.
She was born July 4, 1935, in Griffin Flat, to John Albert and Rosie Moore Hern. She was a member of Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church and the Welcome Home WAC. She was a retired volunteer for the Appleton Fire Department and Atkins school district. She was also an Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband of 62 years in April, Veo Condley; two sons and daughters-in-law, Veo Jr. and Raymonda Condley of Atkins and Bobby and Marie Condley of Gladstone, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jessica and Kiarra Condley of Gladstone; and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at the Welcome Home Free Will Baptist Church near Hector, officiated by the Rev. Josh Aufengarten and the Rev. James Chronister. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, from 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Timothy Condley, Todd Condley, J.L. Chronister, David Chronister, Roger Hern and Ted Hern. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews and the Appleton Fire Department.

OWEITA K. CHURCHILL HOPSON – Luke Section, Row I, Lot 11
Oweita K. Churchill Hopson, 84, of Alma, formerly of Hector and of Russellville, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 5, 2015 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The daughter of Ulas and Ayleen Story Taylor, she was born August 15, 1930 in Parkdale. She was a 1948 graduate of Hector High School. Oweita and R.L. Churchill were married on June 19, 1948 in Hector. They owned and operated Churchill’s AG Supermarket in Hector for over 20 years. She later retired from Walmart in Russellville. As a homeroom mother in the Hector Schools, she was known for being attentive to each child, and she loved attending her daughter and granddaughter’s school, sports and church activities. In the 1960’s she served as church secretary at the Hector First Assembly of God under Rev. W.D. Hooten. She also taught the high school youth and was active in the church’s Vacation Bible School program each summer. Later she attended the First Assembly of God in Russellville. She enjoyed collecting elephant figurines, loved flower gardening, sewing, cooking for and serving her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, R.L. Churchill. She and Glen Hopson were married on October 18, 2002 in Hector. In addition to her husband, Oweita is survived by her daughter, Shelia Churchill, Alma; 3 grandchildren, Rachel and Sarah Churchill, both of Alma, Becky Hopson, Trussville, AL; sister, Lawatha Reames, Russellville; 2 stepsons, Mike (Sue) Hopson, Trussville, AL; Doug (Marian) Hopson, Greer, SC; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, January 9, 2015 at Humphrey Chapel. Rev. Dean Caldwell and her cousin, Aaron Duvall will officiate. Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector by Humphrey Funeral Service. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, at the funeral home.

RUTH ANN (SIMHAUSER) MYERS June 21, 1949–April 14, 2010
Grace Tripp Bolin, 80, of Hector, beloved mother and sister, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, at her home. Grace “T” was born in Hector on August 2, 1934 to Millus and Ora Lee Tripp, the eighth of ten children. She was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Bolin; three brothers, Elvin “Bob” Tripp, Tom Tripp, and Millus Tripp; and three sisters, Jean Tripp, Ruth Byford, and Betty Witcomb.
Grace T is survived by her three children and their spouses, Brett and Debra Stuart of Conway, AR; Beth and Ken Brown of Hector, AR; and Mary and David Bowman of Richmond Hill, GA. She has three grandchildren, Emi Stuart of Fayetteville, AR; Carrie-Anne Blackburn of Commerce, GA; and David Bowman of Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Bolin has one surviving brother, Carl Ed Tripp of Appleton, AR; and two sisters, Billie Shank of Las Vegas, NV and Mickey Donahue of Harrison, AR. She has five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bolin owned and operated her own business, “Herb’s Place” in Mt. Judea for many years. She graduated from college with Highest Honors and was inducted as member of the National Honor Society. After the death of her husband, Herbert Bolin, Mrs. Bolin returned to the home of her heart, Hector, AR. Mrs. Bolin attended Cumberland Presbyterian Church from the time she was a child.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 28, at Lemley Chapel, with Bro. Glendon Garrison officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday. Pallbearers are Brett Wayne Stuart, Ken Brown, Keith Marable, Carl Ed Tripp, J.W. Mackey and Mike Hollobaugh. Honorary pallbearers are David Bowman, David M. Bowman, Harold Tripp, Verlin Pruitt, Garry Stewart, M.D., and staff, and the nursing staff of 2N Conway Regional Medical Center. RODNEY ROGERS – Moses Section, Row I, Lot 02
Rodney Rogers, 67, of Hector, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Morrilton.
He was born November 19, 1947, in Phillipsburg, Kansas, son of the late Dale and Lois Nadine Jacobs Rogers. He served a total of 36 years in the Armed Forces, and retired as a Master Sergeant with the 69th Troop Command in the Army National Guard. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus (Moline, Kansas), American Legion (Howard, Kansas), and loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Inez Rogers; 3 daughters, Michelle and husband Mike Sharp of Skiatook, Oklahoma, Jessie and husband Brad Greschler of Denver, Colorado, and Shannon Calvert and Chase Seiler of Goddard, Kansas; son, Rico Mulder and wife Laura of Hector; 10 grandchildren, Alyssa, Jayden, Laurelle, Caleb, Braeden, Kinzley, Teegan, Grayson, Bentley, and Elenore; 1 great-grandchild, Quinn; brother, Richard Rogers; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 14, at St. Mary Church in St. Vincent (Conway County) with Father Jim Burnie officiating. Burial with full military honors is in Walnut Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Rosary and visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday at Lemley Chapel. Pallbearers are Chase Seiler, Rico Mulder, John Riley, Mike Sharp, Brian Gaines, and Charles Brashear. Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Calvert, Braeden Calvert, Grayson Mulder, Brad Greschler, and the Aguilera family.

BOBBY ARLEN HAYS – Paul Section, Row G, Lot 46
Bobby Arlen Hays, 80, of Little Rock, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Bob was born August 13, 1934, in Appleton, Arkansas, to O. P. and Gracie Hays. He worked in construction for over 60 years and retired as a general superintendent in commercial construction. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Bob’s love for the Lord was evident in all areas of his life. He had a servant’s heart, always putting others’ needs ahead of his own. He loved his family and spent his life taking care of them. He used his talents to build homes for others, and celebrated God’s creation through woodcarvings and artwork. Whether he was fixing a leaky roof, serving food at the Ronald McDonald house, or making people laugh, he did it all for God’s glory. He modeled a true walk with Christ, and his family carries on his Christian legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Emmitt, James, and Glen Hays. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carolyn Hays, two daughters, Sandra Hays of Little Rock and Faith Posey and husband Dr. David Posey of Batesville, his grandchildren, Lindsay James and husband Jeremiah James of Jonesboro, Hannah Posey of Conway, Caleb Posey of Little Rock, Adelline and Esther Posey of Batesville, and one great-grandchild, Abigail James of Jonesboro. He is also survived by one brother Raymond Hays and Virginia Hays of Appleton and one sister Evelyn Moore and Allen Moore of Redmond, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.
The family will conduct a memorial service at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Immanuel Baptist Chapel, officiated by the Dr. Gary Hollingsworth. Visitation will immediately follow the service in the chapel foyer. Honorary pallbearers will be members of George Preiss’s Sunday School Class at Immanuel Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Shinn Funeral Service in Russellville, with burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Hector.

MaeLee Grace Holcomb, infant daughter of Joey and Heather Holcomb of Hector, was born and passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her parents; 3 sisters, Kalynn and Kenley Holcomb of Danville, and Callie Holcomb of Hector; grandparents, Carolyn and Don Holcomb of Ranger, and Ora Mae and Donald Helton of Hector.

Members of the Condley Family have been living in Pope County for over 150 years. Their roots are deep here and for the most part, this family places much value on God, family and hard work.
William Druary Condley was born November 28, 1864 and died January 24, 1949. He was known as “W.D.” or “Uncle Bill”. The Condley family with seven children moved to Arkansas from Virginia.
William Druary Condley married Sarah Adeline Eddy on September 6, 1871 and they had eleven children—four sons and seven daughters along with fifty grandchildren.
Their children were: Lular Maud born July 11, 1888; Horace Rufus born September 30, 1889; Eva born July 4, 1892; Ada Belle born February 21, 1894; Henry born July 9, 1896; Minnie Mae born September 1, 1900; Lenora born February 19, 1902; Charley William born October 4, 1904; Sylvia born November 17, 1907; Bessie born March 16, 1910; Jessie Sr. born March 16, 1910.
